The Sputnik will consist of a specialized version of the mantle board with instruments and equipment for measuring atmospheric conditions to provide information about weather and climate

The measurements to be included are:

• Temperature
• Barometric pressure
• Humidity
• Wind speed
• Wind direction
• Precipitation amounts.
